Researching and exploring ideas
Personal project.
Activity one – researching and exploring ideas.
Research possible partner agencies.
I have been thinking about possible places In Plymouth that I could research into that are very popular.
My ideas are:
· Plymouth pavilions
· The theatre royal
· Barbican leisure park
These are the three places that are the most popular places in Plymouth I think.
Why Plymouth pavilions?
I have chosen this as one of my choices because it has everything really e.g. big swimming pool, basketball games, concerts, ice rink.
Pavilions has a lot of activity’s that you can do, I spend most of my weekends there to see concerts, I also go there with a group of friends to wait for the celebrity’s that are there, and most of the time they come out which is cool. This is one of my favourite places to go with friends, I don’t go ice skating because I don’t like skating atall I am useless at it, and the last time I went swimming there I was about 7 years old so that was ten years ago.
Why the theatre royal?
I don’t go there very often but I do go when they have the kids pantomimes as you are never to old to do that, I last went there in January or February it was one of those months to see sleeping beauty. And I honestly have never laughed so much in my life Joe pasqualie was amazing and so funny, my mum even said she has never seen me laugh so much. Like I said I don’t really go there very much anymore but when I do go I have a great time, it’s a place for everyone to go on a posh night out. They don’t just have kids plays they have every genre of play you can think of which makes it a family orientated place.
Why Barbican leisure park?
I spend a lot of time here especially one birthdays due to the fact that it has a Vue cinema, and Nandos restaurant, a bowling and games place and a nightclub. I would say it’s the ultimate place for someone young to go out for the evening, I spend most of my time at the cinema when I am there but I do go to Nandos a lot to. It’s a great place to hang out with friends and family.

Who I would like to possibly work with.
I would like to work with Plymouth pavilions the most, this is because I go there more than anywhere else as I love going to see concerts. I also think this is a good place for me because I know a lot about what is there and who have had concerts there and so on.
Cultural Diversity in Plymouth
There is a lot of cultural diversity in Plymouth. We have a centre called ‘Plymouth Centre for Faiths and Cultural Diversity’ they are a charitable trust based in the St Jude area supported Plymouth City Council. Their main objective is to get people the information and education of world religion and cultural diversity based on the values of respect and tolerance.
They have different cultural and religious events, the faiths they celebrate are:
· Baha’i
· Buddhist
· Christian
· Hindu
· Jewish
· Muslim
· Pagan
· Sikh
The services they offer are:
· Resources Loans
· Awareness Training
· Culture Speakers
· Faith Speakers
· Outreach / Networking
· Services & Support for Schools
· Use of the Centre
· Volunteer Opportunities
They seem very good and trying to get the respect of people who don’t believe in religion and people who don’t respect different races.

The fish we are using & Animation research
Loggerhead Sea Turtle
Spotted Eagle Ray
Blacktip Reef Shark
Clownfish
Red Lionfish
Some interactive animations
This first animation is not good but not bad either, i don't think it does much but it successfully 'read my mind' the 3 times i tried it. Though i did get bored after the 3 times i played it, the graphics are a bit rough and bumpy so that it doesn't move smoothly but the effort is good. The colours are bright and eye catching which is what you are looking for in an animation i think. But overall i think it is pretty crap and i wouldn't use it again once is all you need. The graphics are fairly good but not great. READ YOUR MIND!
The second interactive animation i found i think is probably the most ridiculous animation i have ever seen. The overall interaction is a bit pointless, plus its punching bill gates! & i don't know who that is, i just thought it was punching a guy with glasses. Just pointless. The overall animation is okay but i think they could have had more buttons and i think they could have added more interactive things instead of just three. Its basic vector graphics and doesn't look pix-elated from the view you get however the site this animation is on distracts you away from the actual thing you are looking at, the reason for this is that there are alot of other adverts on the site and plus i think anything will distract you away from this animation.
